Only the Biggest Tractor will Do! Gage is turning 2!

Last week we had Gage's 2nd birthday! It was one of those days that I will remember forever. It was the prettiest day and the kids just had the best time. Below is a video that my sister put together and it is the BEST birthday present anyone could have given him. While Breisch and I were running around and making sure everything was going smoothly, my sister was taken great pictures and video. Thank you Lizzie for the greatest gift! This video is something I will cherish forever.

Back at work!

Ok so I am a little behind but I promise I try to sit down a post every night. It has just been a challenge. I have started back at work and completely enjoy it. I do miss my sweet kids, but this is the first job where I like it enough to tough it out right now.

Right before I started back to work I tried to get a couple of picture of my sweet girl, because lets face it, chasing a 22 month old with a newborn in the house is pretty time consuming. To make a long story short lets just say we have a lot less picture of Ann Thomas than we do of Gage. Ha.

Happy Father's Day!

This last month has been crazy but if there was one rock I could count one this month is was DADDY. Breisch has been great with both Gage and Ann Thomas. Although I have loved getting to know Ann Thomas and spending time with Gage. I would not want to redo this month for anything. Ann Thomas has been great and so has Gage at moments but putting them together and trying to meet both of their needs has be hard. I can say that there have been moments that have made it ALL WORTH it, but all this to say, I could not have done it without DADDY. Happy Fathers day to the greatest father!

Family Visit

A BIG thanks to Mimi and Pops for letting us go swimming. It was Mimi's first time to see Julie Ann and Ann Thomas. Mimi and Pops are from our home town but moved here about a year ago. They are really close to my sister and I am glad they got to see them. We have such a great time as you can see.

Gage eating blackberries at the pool. I asked my dad to bring my some blackberries and I thought it would be nice to share them accept Gage did not want to share. He ate the entire bowl. This boy LOVES fruit.
As you can see they are almost all gone.

This is Julie Ann sleep. She has not been sleeping very well but I think my sister is crazy because this sweet girl was so good for her Gigi.

Just for fun

We introduced a shower to Gage right after Ann Thomas was born and he LOVES it. He calls it a "sour". Lately, we have had quite a few learning opportunities with it. For example, "Gage, we do not take a shower with our clothes." Gage, "B" and "Frogger" cannot take showers. "Gage, you can only take a shower once a day"

Breisch and I took Gage to the Children Museum for the first time on Sunday. He ran from one thing to the next. Here is one thing he stayed at long enough for us to take a picture.

Ok, I am a strong believer of swaddling but this little lady loves her left arm out of the swaddle.. I am ok with it as long as she sleeps, but as soon as she wakes herself up, her arm is going back in the swaddle.

Ann Thomas is still a dream baby, and I have enjoyed this time with her. Gage is getting better with her but still is not ok with me feeding her.

Intruder!

Yes, we have an intruder. A couple of days ago Breisch thought he saw some deer at a distance, which is not unusual in our yard, but when one of them moved he notice that they were a lot bigger than deer. There were two horses eating grass in the backyard. Well, last night at Ann Thomas' 3 o'clock feeding I walked past my kitchen window, which faces the backyard and notice two big black spots in our backyard. I mean they were right at our back door. It scared me to death. After a second or so I realize what they were but I could not believe they came up so close. Today, when I came back from running errands, I came back to the picture below. It was only one of them but it was in the same spot as last night.

For my Sister, Lizzie

Lizzie, I know you asked me to post these pictures forever ago, but honestly the nursery was not even close to ready until after I got home from the hospital, and it is still not finished. The curtains need to be hemmed and two frames need to be hung but I think you can get the picture.

My chair comes in next week. This chair is off of my front pouch but it will do for now.

I will post the frames later. They are worth a post all on their own. My dear friend makes them and the company is called Rustic Creations. You might have heard of them. Thanks Shana!

We are Still Here!

I cannot believe it has been so long since I posted last. We have had a lot of changes these last few months, and although it has been great, it has also been very busy.

First thing first, we have made it through 1 week of a 20 month old and a newborn. Ann Thomas has been a dream baby so far, and I can say that because Gage was a little bit more demanding at that age. She is on a three hours feeding schedule and is already staying awake 30 min between each feeding during the day. I am thinking any day she is going to wake up and realize she is in a new world and start testing Mommy, but so far that has not happened. God has already answered so many prayers about this new season in our lives. I cannot tell you how scared I was to have a newborn and a 20 month old under the same roof. I mean even when I told someone in conversation that I already have a 20 month old, you should have seen the looks and comments I received, and you wondered why I was so sacred. I am not saying I think we are out of the woods, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

This is a picture of Ann Thomas this morning. We think those cheeks are from my side of the family, and I have fallen in love with them.

We officially have a toddler in the house! Gage is a mess. He loves baby sister but has a hard time understanding why Mommy has to hold her all the time. In the last week, Gage has spent a lot of time with daddy and has loved every second of it. Below are a couple of moments, which I hate I have missed (but know it is worth it).

...his Daddy. Gage loves being outside and is always smiling, but lately, well lets just say I have seen more personality come out.
